Last few days of swim lessons
Jane improved so much! She went from not wanting to put her face in the water and not letting go of me, to jumping in by herself and swimming all around even in the deep end.

Found these gems in Kaleb's room.  Details on how to make a quail trap and minnow trap :-)

My cute boys. Isaac's legs are finally filling out! Not little sticks anymore

Kaleb breathing a sigh of relief that he finished the dishes.  He got invited to an airsoft/swim party so he worked fast and hard to get it done in time :-)

Eliza and Jane had a lovely tea party for all their dolls.  I asked where some of the dolls went and Jane said, "they had to go to the orphanage." ! :-(

We had a lovely time in McCall!  Enjoying a sunset and icecream looking out at lake Payette.

We heard about iceream alley and quickly understood why it's so popular!  So yummy with all the different flavors.  Jane got her blue bubblegum kind all over her.  I tried huckleberry and it was perfection.

The first day was long with Braydan having to work all day, but at night we hit the beach.

Eliza jumped right in the lake with all her clothes on!

While Braydan was gone in the day (with our only vehicle), I took the kids on a bike ride to the community pool :-) It was very interesting with a flat tire on the bike carrier and Isaac strapped in haphazardly to the carrier. We said some prayers and and made it.

Kids took pictures of the cabin.  Upstairs had the master bedroom/bath with a couch on the landing that kaleb slept on.

The pool down the road from the cabin.  The girls had fun, but Kaleb said it was dirty and didn't swim much.  He was kinda annoying about it!  He wants to swim every day when we're home, but when we have unlimited time to swim and free, he doesn't want to :-(

Braydan got to rent a truck for his job, so we wasted no space in that thing!

Friday morning, we went on a lovely hike to Boulder Lake.

The deal was I would pack Isaac if Braydan would pack Jane.  We didn't know Jane would walk the whole 2 miles up and 2 miles down!  I got the sore shoulders and back!  Although Braydan held Jane's hand the entire time after she tripped the first 5 minutes and hurt her hand.

We picked Huckleberries along the way.

There was a dam at the lake with little waterfalls flowing out over the boulders (hence the name Boulder lake) for the kids to play in.  So fun!

Girls took pictures of the whole cabin, even the toilets (they think they're so hilarious :-) Cute little kitchen.

After our hike, we got icecream and headed to the beach to cool down.  It was lovely playing in the sand.

We got back to the cabin to find this guy eating in the yard.  He wasn't scared of us at all!

This week's highlight was a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Barrett!  Finally! They came Wednesdsay evening and stayed until Sunday.

But first, earlier in the week the Bishop let us come swim!  The kids love going to their house.  Kaleb decided to ditch the pool and swim across their pond :-/  We always have to drag him away when it's time to go.

Eliza playing on their playground airplane teeter-totter

Jane swinging with her friend Rachel (still has her life-vest on just in case :-)

Eliza doing dishes!  Love this little worker girl of mine.  She's a huge help to me.

Isaac sleeping through swim lessons again. It's too hot to stay awake!

Fierce fooseball battles!  All of us tried to take on Braydan but he still beats us.  Kaleb loved having Grandma and Gradpa to play games with!

One morning, I quadrupled my muffin recipe and got bored of making muffins, so I added more oats and chocolate and craisens and made tons of breakfast cookies.  I love seeing my cabinets done.

Grandpa rocking Isaac :-)

One morning before floating the river, everyone (Braydan, Craig and Marla - Kaleb ended up spraying Grandma with the hose instead of working I think) helped clean all the windows!  It looks like a new house!  Marla even took out the screens and cleaned out the yucky stuff out of the window sills.  Thank you!

Playing games games games.  They brought squirrel and mexican dominoes and some other new fun ones for us to try.  Sadly, i didn't play much because any quiet free time, I worked on my talk.

All dressed up for church :-)
I watched the Martinez kids monday so their Mom could go to the doctor.  They are easy and play great with the kids.
Good bye picture of Grandma and Grandpa!  Sad!  Thank you for taking us to eat, for spoiling the kids with donuts and coloring my hair, and doing dishes and helping with Isaac!  After they drove away, the kids said, "It is lonely without them."  :-(

my boys taking a break

Friday night, Braydan took Kaleb on a date so the girls new what to do!  Party!  They got the nailpolish out and turned on the dance music ;-)

poor isaac was stuck with the girls.  He slept through it luckily :-)

Kaleb picked kayaking for his date night. Traveling through the jungle of trees and blessed shade!

Saturday I asked Francine if we could swim and she is the sweetest and let us come.  It was 100 and we were dying for some water. Kids love her pool.

Saturday Braydan bought this on craigslist!  I wanted to get him one for father's day and even ordered one on Amazon, but he canceled it before it even got here!  He is a foosball snob I guess because he said the one I picked wasn't built good enough.  Well, he finally found one that is good!  Happy late gift!

Kaleb being Kaleb

I asked Eliza to draw a temple for my FHE lesson and she did a masterpiece of course :-)

we talked about families sealed together and the kids were fascinated with the idea of being linked like a chain to my parents and grandparents and their future kids and grandkids.

Kaleb has traps set up all over the property for quail, skunks, and more.  Unfortuantely, its our cats and chickens that end up caught in his traps :-)

4th of July was wonderful and it was the first year I wasn't sad and missing Washington.  Started with a flag raising at the church.  We had a sprinkler fiasco where Braydan ended up drenched trying to figure it out, but I loved singing patriotic songs together and visiting with our ward family

cute primary singing

Isaac sporting his red white and blue

They had a cute bike parade for the primary, but only Jane wanted to do it.  Funny when it came time to decorate it though, all the kids were excited and wanted to help.

After the flag raising we headed to Melba for the parade.  It was hot and I think it's the last year we are going.  Kaleb is bored of it and the girls are too nice to get much candy :-)  You have to be agressive!

During the afternoon, Braydan is my hero and took down my ugly kitchen chandelier and figured out how to put together my new one.  I need a picture of the replacement!

Floating Indian Creek in the afternoon.  We invited our new friend Aaron to join in.  I stayed with Isaac, but Braydan took Jane for the first time. I was nervous for her, but she loved it.

Worn out

Our Jewish friends invited us over for swimming and barbeque and firewworks.  It was a fun night!

Isaac is 4 months old!

My office is always busy with these 2 girls working on projects.

Jane loves to have Eliza make her paper dolls.  Lucky little sister!

We asked a young women in the ward to teach the kids swimming lessons and they love it.  The best part is the other kids can swim while they're waiting their turn.

I love this picture so much.  It's not every day you get all your siblings to support you getting your shots! Eliza's face was pure horror when they came in with the needles.  She loves her baby brother!

He weighed 11 lbs. He's doubled his weight!

Jane doing swim.  She loves Emma and went under the water the first day even though Ive been trying to get her to do that for a while.

Isaac trying not to cook during all the swim lessons

Cute boys.  Kaleb's been looking up buying a dirt bike now that he's ridden his friend Daniel's. :-)

The kids are so mean and think Issac looks like the elf Dobby in Harry Potter!  So mean.
This week we also had Aaron over for dinner a few nights because his family is in Utah.  Fun getting to know him and found out we're related!  Small world.  Saturday Braydan hung all my cabinets and put all the hardware on.  So happy to be done with the project. It was fun for the first month and then my enthusiasm waned.
Kaleb is always asking about jobs he can do to earn money.  Told them to stain the playset and they loved that job.  It looks much better now!
