So, last week (or was it two weeks ago??. . can't remember) Anyways, the other young women leaders in the ward talked me into going on the pre-camp trip to the Adam's cabin on the Hood Canal. I was hesitant cause I would have to bring both kids and I didn't know how that would go, especially after the last camping trip. But, Emily was so nice and let us stay in the cabin (while the rest of the leaders had to stay outside with the girls :) Well, I'm glad I went cause my babes did awesome! Kaleb was in heaven. They had a trampoline, a camp fire, and the hood canal to explore, so what's not to love? Eliza slept good, and when she wasn't sleeping, one of girls was holding her so I got more of a break going on the trip than staying at home! I've never stayed at a family cabin before, but I'm defiantly sold on the idea now. I'm gonna start saving my pennies for one!

I only had pink Dora swim diapers left, so Kaleb will hate me someday for this picture, but I thought it was funny (I was too lazy to put on his swimsuit) We also played on our friend's slip-and-slide. 
Kaleb really got the slip part down. They dared me to do it to so I ran and slid on my belly and it was a blast. Brought back good memories.
Too hot to stay awake! 
I'm so behind in blogging, but it's summertime right? A couple weekends ago we went camping to Flowing Lake with some friends-the Dyers and Bettilyons. We ate lots of good food, relaxed around the camp fire, and stayed up all night with crying Eliza. Wait, that last one doesn't really fit . . . . ? Yes, Eliza---my good sleeper--is spoiled and likes her own bed with the pink sheets, not the dinosaur play-pen that smells like campfire :( Luckily, no one admitted being kept awake with her crying every few hours, so that's good. Saturday we played by the lake and got some sun! It was actually hot! I never imagined it would get much hotter than that, but it has now! More blogs to come later (hopefully!) . . . . 
"Roughing it" in the huts at Muir. 
We had an extra night at Muir since we didn't get a spot higher up at Ingraham Flats. We spent most of the day playing in the snow and laying out like lizards in the sun. We even played cards, but went to bed at about 4:00pm.
We woke up sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 pm, roped up, and headed up the "hill".
After working our way up the cleaver and a 2,000 more feet we reached the summit of Rainier at 14,411 feet. We signed the book and headed down.
We were the second group of many to summit that day. The first was this man who climbed the summit in one day climbing solo (I think he's nuts!). He was a nice guy though and showed us around up on top.
Overall this trip was 10 times better than Mount Baker. 
Nobody was having any luck so they went and got ice cream instead. I think it's the first cone he's had in a long time (poor deprived child!) He kept biting it instead of licking it :) It's a special art.
Friday Braydan pressure washed the whole house in preparation for painting! You're supposed to wait 3 weeks or something to paint after washing, so I'll have to be patient I guess. 
Isn't it disconcerting he can have such a nice smile while torturing ears at the same time?
We ate pancakes after the presentation and visited while the kids climbed trees. 
Later we had a party at the lake and it was perfect weather. 
It was a record 90 degrees, but the breeze coming off the water made it nice. 
Kaleb started off with his backpack on and tennis shoes. Slowly (and when we stopped bugging him), he finally stripped down to his swimsuit. It had to be his idea though.

The guys played bochi ball and wiffle ball, but I never really left the lake. After barbecuing there, we packed up and went home to put kids to bed.
Our street was pretty wild! I tried to video it, but it's worse than a 5 year old. We couldn't really talk up on the roof cause it was so loud, so I had a chance to really reflect on our country and how blessed I am to live in America and how many lives were sacrificed so I could enjoy those blessings. It was a wonderful day. Hope you all had a Happy 4th of July!
